Author Biography

Belinda Kroll attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a BS in Computer Science & Engineering, and a minor in English.

Kroll was the art editor, webmaster, and editor-in-chief (all at the same time for a few months) of her college's magazine from the academic years 2005 to 2008. She has written a guest essay about the odd fascination American women have for the English accent for the English reporter, Graham Carter. She is a consummate story-teller, often making the most awkward moments in her life seem entertaining. It is a gift, and a curse.

Not ready to give up 40 hours of her week to an employer, Kroll is in graduate school for an Informatics degree in Human Computer Interaction Design. The focus of this field is to make technology easy to use: "You shouldn't ever need a manual to know how to use something."

Catching the Rose is a stand-alone historical fiction about the American Civil War. Kroll's new work, Trentwood's Orphan, is the first of two books about two grown-up siblings after the loss of their father in Victorian England.

Belinda Kroll lives in Indiana with her computer, writing journal, and music player, among other items necessary for comfortable living.
